Merida Raines began her healing career as a 7-year old child. She didn't know at the time that she was having anxiety attacks or that they were called "anxiety" attacks. She just knew that she was scared, dizzy, and couldn't breathe. When she was 7 years-old she used focused breathing and visualization to quell these attacks. Her life has been a series of such incidences leading her to become a massage therapist which includes certification in Neuromuscular release, myofascial release, positional release and post-isometric muscle release techniques, and Orthobionomy release techniques, Shiatsu, Meridian therapy, Reiki, Chapman's Reflexes (lymph drainage), Reflexology, Upledger's CranioSacral Therapy, Touch For Health therapy, Theta and Nuwati Healing energy work.

Merida is a Naturopathic Doctor, Certified Natural Health Professional, and a Master Herbalist. Her "healing hands" have healed many, and her counsel has led others to help themselves. She loves what she does and it shows as people tell her they feel "good" about themselves when they are with her. She helps the patient get involved with their own healing process which empowers the patient. In order to do that, healing must be basic and easy, for most people are already overwhelmed when they come for help. Her training as a Licensed Massage Therapist has been instrumental in her healing work because of the hands-on experience which has broadened her knowledge and understanding of how the body talks and what it is saying about it's health.
